My Journal of smiles
My journal of Smiles :) ...Lucks
Friends, this is my treasure chest, where I keep my riches. What are these valued possessions? My smiles!!!
Things and people that make me smile everyday are my most prized gems.
22-11-2011
What made me happy today?
1. I woke up early and went for a morning walk in the fog. Had a wonderful time, winter is here to stay and there's no better time to be out there, than in the early hours of the morning. My Sparky loves going for walks during the winter season.

2. There's a very sweet, old dog, who lives on the ground floor of the building which houses my gym. This one is one moody lady and doesn't accept food from people she is not familiar with. I have been trying to be friends with her for a long time now but she has been resisting my efforts. Today she smiled at me, almost smiled :), wagged her tail and accepted biscuits from me, yay, I am thrilled.
3. I was greeted with a chorus of 'good morning' by a room full of people at the reception, the moment I entered my Gym. This simple gesture made me happy and welcomed. We don't realize it but little things make a big difference to our lives and on some days these tiny gestures brighten our otherwise weary and drab days.
These are a few of the things which made my day...

Wail from the coffin
Wail from the coffin
Memories fade the edges of pictures imprinted on our minds.
They blur the images and make them fuzzy and smudged,
Unclear, unfocussed, grainy, our thoughts become.
Recalling past events invokes an unidentifiable ache,
where once the heart used to beat.
Recollecting old memories, damages the soul.
A place where once you were happy, no longer exists.
It’s vanished, wiped clean of its existence.
Destroyed and damaged beyond recognition.
There is no turning back, its all gone.
Disappeared, washed away by the tides of,
unfeeling time and deliberate neglect.
All traces of fond times and happy places,
erased from the unsuspecting past.
It was a gradual decomposition, chip by chip,
each monument was broken down, inch by inch,
torturously, crushed slowly, blow by blow.
The degradation was swift but excruciatingly slow.
The slate was wiped clean, of its emotions,
and feelings, stripped of its treasures.
The path to the past’s door was barricaded with,
Padlocks of the present, gates slammed shut,
like the closing of the coffin lid.
Pitch black, suffocating, claustrophobic,
My living space has become.
Gasping for breath, clawing at the velvet-lined lid,
I scream wordlessly, panic sets in.
All I can hear is the sound of my voice,
Shrieking and calling your name.
You walked away after hammering the last nail,
in the coffin, unconcerned of my heart’s decay.
Oblivious to,
my soul’s rotting,
my life seeping out,
of my abandoned and listless body.
My outstretched hand, imploring eyes.
My heartrending wails, my strangled cries.
My unfulfilled desires, my unspoken sighs.
My final words to you,
had you stopped to listen, were,
“Darling, I’ll always love you.”

What made me happy today?
1. A photograph of my mother, enjoying her walk with my brother and his family at their place near Porbandar, Gujrat. To see her walking after being so seriously ill, was a great moment. This is the first time, since her illness in April this year, that she has traveled out of Bombay.

2. I visited the Shilpotsav yesterday, and found these pretty orange cups and fell in love with them instantly. Their unique shape intrigued me and I had to get them home.

3. I cracked open these three perfect and whole walnuts successfully, early in the morning and felt so happy to have done it. :)

These are a few of the things which made my day...

11-11-11 Lucky Friday Happy Moment
THIS MOMENT - 11.11.11
A Friday ritual, single photo - no words, capturing a moment from the week. A moment which is simple, special or extraordinary, a moment I want to cherish and remember.
Adopted from SouleMama, introduced to me by Corinne of Everyday Gyaan, Drop in there, leave your link and comments too.
If you are inspired, you can also post a picture and leave the link to your 'moment', so that I can visit and comment too.

Friends,
This is my dearest Sparky, she sits next to me when I am writing my articles and keeps me company. She just turned 8 years old on 7th Nov. Most of the ideas for my articles are courtesy Sparky, we brainstorm and come up with the posts :) Thank you Sparky and love you lots.
